Dr. Gloria Kaye is a woman with a mission. Dedicated to enlightening the public about energetic healing, Dr. Kaye believes that her treatments effectively complement both alternative and medical models of treatment. Many of her clients seek her help after having tried other forms of treatment without success.
In the early 1980s, Dr. Kaye received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology, and proceeded to develop and administer a holistic center for senior citizens.
In the early 1990s, Dr. Kaye integrated pain management and healing into her practice. She lectured on Hands-On Healing to first-year medical students at UCLA School of Medicine in the late 1990s. Through the combination of Hands-On-Healing and the practical application of yoga to medical complaints, Dr. Kaye has successfully treated clients with various medical conditions, including arthritis, backaches, migraines, muscle pain, inflammation, sprains, scoliosis and tendonitis. Her comprehensive approach to each case produces dramatic changes in an individual’s mobility, strength, flexibility, and overall health. She has also treated clients in the cancer unit at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Her extensive travels have taken her healing gifts worldwide.
Dr. Kaye first realized her ability as a healer in her teens. She believes she inherited this ability from her Great Aunt Katie, who was also a healer. Before pursuing healing and pain management as a profession, Dr. Kaye conducted groundbreaking research in the 1970s on yoga as a treatment for substance abuse. She also produced a respected San Diego-area cable TV show exploring yoga as a treatment modality for common complaints such as depression, anxiety, stress, over-eating and physical inflexibility.
Distance Healings and In-Person Treatments are available. Dr. Kaye uses a unique system to reduce pain and injury. In an hour-long session, areas of distress and imbalance are addressed. Clients may experience a sensation of heat, cold, tingling and a deep sense of relaxation. Clients worldwide have experienced her profound healing talents.
Most clients experience a significant decrease in presenting symptoms by the end of the first session. Clients whose presenting symptoms are related to pain management are most likely to feel the immediate effects of the treatment.
Some clients experience a delayed reaction and benefit several days after the treatment. As unwanted cells are disbursed the body may occasionally experience discomfort, however this discomfort is short-lived.
As a result of the sessions, many clients relax and may experience a sleepiness or fatigue lasting from one to 24 hours after the treatment. This is frequently followed by a sense of well-being and renewed energy. It is important at this time to use this renewed energy to further promote healing. Do not disburse this energy by engaging in tasks that require a lot of physical activity.
Deep massage or strenuous exercise should be avoided for a 24-hour period after the treatment.
With an acute injury there is a strong likelihood that one session will reverse the disturbance in the body. Chronic conditions, however, usually require multiple treatments. In these cases, the body needs to be re-educated regarding health and balance. Do not be concerned if it appears as if the treatment did not “hold”; the body may need more education about health and balance.
It is difficult to estimate the number of treatments that it will take to alter presenting symptoms. After the second session, Dr. Kaye will have a better idea of how the body responds to treatment and will be able to give a more accurate guesstimate as to the number of sessions required.
This system of energetic healing attempts to create balance in the body. Once balance in the body is created, the energy is able to flow more freely and move to the main areas of distress. The placement of the hands is based on intuitive information so there is no set pattern of intervention.
